Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Flammability Engineer II to ensure interior components meet federal and industry standards for certification. This onsite role in Winston-Salem, NC focuses on supporting FAA documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership within the Interiors team.

The position requires a STEM degree with 2+ years in aerospace interiors and strong proficiency in MS Office, along with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams to drive compliant design

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.
  • Prior working experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with aircraft interiors is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Responsibilities

  • Tackle standard engineering assignments with strategic expertise, utilizing your experience to drive impactful solutions and design decisions.
  • Support internal technical and design reviews, representing our Flammability Certification team with confidence and expertise.
  • Compile meticulous FAA certification documentation, ensuring seamless submission to commercial aircraft OEM's and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing invaluable technical leadership and guidance to ensure project success.
