Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a division of RTX, is seeking a talented engineer to support the MAU team in modifying and upgrading in-service aircraft interiors. You will coordinate with engineering, certification, and program management to ensure compliance and timely delivery of seating, galleys, and cabin components.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, experience with cross-functional teams, and knowledge of FAA regulations.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree; FAA requires a bachelor’s in mechanical, aeronautical, civil, chemical, textile or related engineering.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical knowledge and coordinate with engineering, certification, and program management in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Conduct/witness testing, analysis, and design reviews to ensure compliance with 9g Static, 16 Dynamic, HIC, Mass Retention, etc.
  • Generate and check compliance plans and documents to support TSO, PMA, and STC approvals.
  • Participate in training to grow talent and process development.
  • Collaborate as a team across the organization and support the company values and vision.
