Job summary

Benesch in the Kansas/Missouri region is seeking a Structural Bridge Project Manager to lead bridge and transportation design efforts across the division.

The role supports a hybrid work model and requires 7+ years of bridge design experience, plus strong client engagement with agencies like KDOT and MoDOT.

You will mentor staff, manage scopes and budgets, and help grow the Kansas/Missouri practice through strategic pursuits and collaboration with clients.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in KS and/or MO.
• 7+ years of bridge design experience with project management responsibility.
• Proven experience on KDOT or MoDOT bridge projects.
• Strong client interaction and budget/schedule discipline.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager on bridge and transportation design projects.
• Create and execute project work plans with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage project teams and ensure alignment with budget and schedule.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to Kansas Division growth.
• Champion relationships with key clients, including KDOT and MoDOT.
• Represent Benesch at industry events and pursue opportunities.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants and oversee design quality.
• Lead strategic pursuits and drive team collaboration.
