Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Stroke Coordinator to oversee stroke care quality across the continuum. You will act as a clinical expert for patients, families, nursing staff and physicians, coordinating across departments to meet evidence-based standards and accreditation requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, NC RN license, and 3–5 years of acute clinical experience; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• NC RN license required.
• Certified Neuroscience RN or Stroke Certified RN preferred.
• 3–5 years acute clinical experience required.
• Stroke care, care management, utilization management or quality improvement experience is a plus; computer skills including data entry, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint are expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the quality of stroke care across the continuum of care.
• Serve as a clinical expert and resource to patients, families, nursing staff, and physicians.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to meet evidence-based practice requirements and accreditation standards (TJC, CMS).
