Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks a Stroke Coordinator to lead the quality of care for stroke patients and coordinate care across the continuum. You’ll collaborate with nursing, physicians, and administrative teams to meet evidence-based standards and accreditation requirements.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Nursing, NC RN license, 3–5 years of acute clinical experience, and stroke-focused credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• NC RN license required.
• Certified Neuroscience RN or Stroke Certified RN preferred.
• 3–5 years acute clinical experience required.
• 1 year stroke care or care management experience preferred; computer skills including data entry, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the quality of care delivered to stroke patients and their movement across the continuum of care.
• Serve as a clinical expert and resource to patients, families, nursing staff, other clinical staff, physicians and the community.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and administrative staff to achieve outcomes and compliance with evidence-based practice and accrediting standards.
