Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Stroke Coordinator to lead the development and maintenance of high-quality care for stroke patients across the continuum. You will serve as a clinical expert and resource for patients, families, and staff, collaborating with physicians and administrators to achieve outcomes and compliance with established standards.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Preferred Education: Master's degree in Nursing or other related field
Required License: NC RN license
Preferred License: Certified Neuroscience RN or Stroke Certified RN
Required Experience: 3-5 years acute clinical experience
Preferred Experience: 1 year of clinical experience specific to stroke care, care management, utilization management or quality improvement experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the quality of care delivered to stroke patients across the continuum of care.
Serve as a clinical expert and resource to patients, families, nursing staff, other clinical staff, physicians and the community.
Collaborate across medical, clinical and administrative teams to meet outcomes and ensure compliance with evidence-based practice and accrediting bodies (TJC, CMS).
