Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a Stroke Coordinator responsible for developing and maintaining the quality of care delivered to stroke patients and guiding their movement across the continuum of care.

The role serves as a clinical expert and resource to patients, families, nursing and medical staff, and works with physicians and the community to meet evidence-based practices and accreditation requirements from TJC and CMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• 3-5 years acute clinical experience.
• Preferred 1 year of stroke care related experience.
• Proficiency with Windows-based data entry and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality of care for stroke patients.
• Serve as clinical expert and resource to staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and administrative staff to ensure outcomes and compliance with guidelines.
