Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Stroke Coordinator to oversee the quality of stroke care and ensure smooth patient movement across the care continuum. You will act as a clinical expert and resource for patients, families, and staff, aligning with Joint Commission and CMS standards.

The role requires a BSN, NC RN license, and 3-5 years of acute clinical experience; a neuroscience or stroke certification is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position at Mission Hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.
• NC RN license is required.
• Certified Neuroscience RN or Stroke Certified RN is preferred.
• 3-5 years acute clinical experience is required.
• 1 year stroke care, care management, utilization management or quality improvement experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the quality of care delivered to stroke patients across the continuum of care.
• Serve as a clinical expert and resource to patients, families, nursing staff and physicians.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and administrative staff to achieve outcomes and meet accrediting requirements.
