Job summary

MERU is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead the firm’s financial operations, reporting, treasury, and risk management. You will manage the Director of Finance and Staff Accountant, guide budgeting, and partner with the COO on strategy and investments.

You will own NetSuite implementation, systems integration with Rippling, Expensify, Harvest, and Power BI, and drive strong internal controls and multi-state compliance. This role reports to the COO and shapes the firm’s financial future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 12–15+ years of progressive finance experience; CFO/VP Finance or Controller at a professional service firm preferred.
• CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in NetSuite and financial modeling; GAAP knowledge.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Manage GL, close processes, and compliance; coordinate with external bookkeeping/tax.
• Oversee AP, AR, and client billing across engagements; manage tax filings.
• Lead NetSuite ERP implementation and system integration with BI tools.
• Act as strategic advisor to COO and senior leadership on profitability and investments.
