Job summary

Aprio Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing, partner-owned advisory firm to recruit a Vice President of Finance who will own the full finance function. This senior leader will report to the COO and drive a live NetSuite implementation while guiding reporting, treasury, compensation, and systems across the organization.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with VP/CFO-level leadership.
• Current or recent experience at a public accounting or financial/transaction advisory firm.
• Experience leading finance in a professional services or advisory firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience scaling a finance function in a high-growth environment.
• Hands-on ERP implementation experience (NetSuite or comparable).
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-state tax, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and manage compensation processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Manage the general ledger, month-end close, AP, AR, and client billing across multiple engagements.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting.
• Administer staff and partner compensation, bonus accruals, and profits interests programs.
• Drive the NetSuite ERP implementation to go-live and integrate connected financial systems.
• Oversee treasury, daily cash management, and payroll funding.
• Build the firm's annual valuation and long-range projection model.
• Support risk management, vendor and partner contracts review, and firmwide compliance.

Must-Haves

• Finance leadership experience within a professional services or advisory firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven track record scaling a finance function in a high-growth environment.
• Hands-on ERP implementation experience (NetSuite or comparable).
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-state tax compliance, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and manage compensation processes.

Nice to Have

• CPA and/or MBA.
• Private equity familiarity.
• Experience administering partner compensation and profits interests (PIU) programs.
• Familiarity with Rippling, Expensify, Harvest, and Power BI.
