SSA Marine is seeking an Operations Labor Manager to oversee labor personnel and terminal operations across union-driven environments. You will direct foremen, supervisors, and operational staff, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective use of resources.

You will serve as a key management representative, accountable for safety, productivity, and labor relations. The role requires independent judgment, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and terminal

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing related union labor.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in terminal operations, cargo stowage and local union dispatching rules.
• College degree preferred, or equivalent experience in Operations Management or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with large, diverse teams.
• Familiarity with computerized terminal operating systems and safety regulations.

Mansioni

• Exercises independent judgment and management authority over hiring, assignment, direction, evaluation, discipline, and termination of assigned labor personnel per company policy and collective bargaining agreements.
• Directs and assigns work of foremen, supervisory clerks, and other operational personnel based on requirements and availability.
• Interprets and enforces collective bargaining agreements in day-to-day operations.
• Investigates workplace incidents, safety violations, and labor complaints; prepares reports for senior management.
