SSA Marine in Texas is seeking an Operations Labor Manager to direct and coordinate union labor, equipment, and operational resources, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution. The role exercises independent judgment and partners with management to uphold policies and collective bargaining agreements.

You will lead foremen and staff, plan workforce needs, monitor productivity, enforce safety, and ensure accurate reporting.

Competenze

• Five+ years' experience managing union labor.
• Five+ years' experience in terminal operations, cargo stowage and stability, and local union dispatching rules.
• A college degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in Operations Management or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Familiarity with computerized terminal operating systems.
• Knowledge of safety and accident-prevention codes and regulations.
• Valid driver's license; TWIC card may be obtained/maintained.

• Exercises independent judgment and management authority over hiring, assignment, direction, evaluation, discipline, and termination of assigned labor personnel.
• Directs and assigns work of foremen, supervisory clerks, and other personnel based on requirements and workforce availability.
• Interprets, administers, and enforces collective bargaining agreements in day-to-day operations.
• Investigates workplace incidents, safety violations, and labor complaints; prepares reports and escalates to senior management.
