Job summary

Waystar in Atlanta is seeking an Associate Transformation Manager to lead defined workstreams within cross-functional initiatives critical to growth. The role blends structured problem-solving, project management, and hands-on execution to drive strategic and operational change across the business.

You will develop project plans, coordinate execution, analyze business needs, and drive deliverables to completion while engaging stakeholders and managing risks.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in project management, consulting, operations, business transformation, analytics, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects or owning defined project workstreams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, including managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for working teams and leadership audiences.

Responsibilities

• Leading defined workstreams within operational and strategic projects aligned to business goals.
• Developing and maintaining project plans, status reporting, risks, issues, decisions, and action items.
• Analyzing business needs and preparing materials for stakeholder meetings and leadership updates.
• Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, accountability, and project outcomes.
• Project Management & Execution - Develop and manage project plans for assigned initiatives or workstreams, track milestones and dependencies, and drive tasks through completion.
• AI & Process Innovation - Leverage AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve workflows, strengthen analysis, and increase team efficiency; help develop and promote internal solutions that support transformation and launch execution.
• Problem Solving - Apply structured thinking and analysis to identify root causes, evaluate options, and recommend practical solutions.
• Data & Reporting - Gather, organize, and analyze data to inform decisions, measure progress, and communicate project performance.
• Risk & Issue Management - Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and barriers; coordinate resolution and escalat when appropriate.
• Communication - Create clear, concise presentations, status updates, meeting materials, and executive-ready communications.
• Stakeholder Management - Build productive relationships across functions, facilitate working sessions, and drive clarity on ownership, decisions, and next steps.
• Adaptability & Ownership - Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and accountability for results.
