Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Technical Account Manager to support National Security customers, advising on architecture, operations, and security while driving adoption of AWS services. The TAM role requires strong customer-facing skills and the ability to partner with senior leadership.

The position involves building trusted relationships, coordinating with Solutions Architects and Support teams, and traveling as needed to 10% or more. A TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 2+ years of technical work experience.
• 2+ years of technical engineering experience preferred for national security customers.
• Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders and communicating across teams and functions.
• Experience in external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Experience with AWS services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal technical advisor for National Security customers, providing proactive guidance on AWS best practices across architecture, operations, and security
• Craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption and optimization of AWS services
• Drive discussions with senior customer leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, risk management, and operational health
• Proactively monitor and maintain the operational health of customer AWS environments, identifying risks before they become issues
• Build deep, trusted relationships with customer technical teams and leadership to understand their business needs and deliver tailored solutions
• Advocate internally on behalf of customers, acting as the voice of the customer to AWS service and support teams
• Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Support Engineers, and Service Teams to resolve complex technical challenges
