Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist to coordinate recruitment, selection, pre-employment, and onboarding for staff and faculty.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will partner with hiring managers, manage full-cycle recruitment using ADP Workforce Now, conduct screenings, prepare offers, and guide candidates through a welcoming onboarding experience, ensuring compliance and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience including recruitment and onboarding.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong customer service.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/recruitment systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for exempt and nonexempt staff using ADP Workforce Now.
• Advise hiring managers on job descriptions, qualifications, interview processes, and approvals.
• Post job ads across platforms and track activity and status.
• Coordinate candidate interviews, campus visits, background checks, and pre-employment requirements.
• Prepare offers and communicate compensation and benefits details.
• Provide guidance on recruitment policies and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.
• Coordinate onboarding for new faculty and staff, including adjunct faculty.
• Enter new employee data in ADP Workforce Now and update HRIS.
• Ensure Form I-9 compliance and review documents.
• Coordinate with campus departments to provide access and resources for new hires.
• Prepare onboarding notices and explain HR policies and benefits.
• Serve as main contact for new employees throughout onboarding.
• Identify improvements to enhance onboarding and new employee experience.
