Job summary

York County Government in South Carolina is seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and oversee the recruiting process.

You will draft job postings, consult with hiring managers on strategies, coordinate interviews, offers and onboarding, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

This exempt 40-hour-per-week role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and at least three years of talent acquisition experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration or related discipline.
• Three (3) years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.
• SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or IPMA-CP / IPMA-SCP certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates job qualifications, job descriptions and screening criteria to align expectations and selection criteria.
• Sourcing, recruiting, and evaluating job candidates; shepherding the interview and selection process; and providing direction and counsel to hiring teams on staffing strategies.
• Actively participates as a member of the interview panel; provide subject matter expertise in employment laws/regulations, defensible selections, pre-employment screening and diversity/inclusion.
• Maintains recruitment records, including interview notes, related paperwork, offer details, and pre-employment records.
• Coordinates with compensation to develop viable offers, obtain requisite approvals, extend and negotiate offers and nurture the candidate from acceptance through onboarding.
• Builds and maintains rapport with applicants to create a candidate pipeline and convert selected candidates to hires.
• Develops and conducts training related to recruiting and selection practices, issues, and policies.
