Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Senior HR professional to oversee employment and staffing functions, including recruiting, selection, and hiring support. You will lead collegewide HR training, drive staff development, and ensure policy compliance across agencies.

Responsibilities include classification and compensation support, records retention, credentialing, system administration of NEOGOV/Datatel, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and electronic recruitment systems (NEOGOV preferred).
• Ability to exercise judgment and discretion when applying policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and manage recruitment and selection strategies.
• Coordinate advertising, social media, ATS, and career events while liaising with applicants.
• Develop and deliver HR training and professional development initiatives.
• Support classification and compensation processes and maintain records.
• Maintain compliant recruitment records for all positions and campuses.
• Serve as backup credentialing for faculty and adjunct staff.
• Administer NEOGOV and other HR systems; prepare reports as required.
