Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Engineering Manager, Rockets, to lead a multi-disciplinary team in solid rocket motor development from design through production scale-up. You will oversee strategy, deliverables, and compliance in a defense-focused environment.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering within the Voyager Energetics Engineering department and is onsite in Penrose, CO, with potential transition to Pueblo, CO. Strong leadership and propulsion expertise are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related field with 5+ years hands-on propulsion experience
• 15+ years hands-on solid rocket motor development and production experience
• 5+ years leading technically complex projects in regulated/defense environments
• 5+ years supervising engineering teams across multiple disciplines

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary engineering team across solid rocket motor design, propellant formulation, scale-up, and production.
• Drive engineering strategy, planning, and resource allocation to meet performance, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Oversee development and approval of engineering deliverables with processes and best practices for compliance.
• Represent engineering in internal and external reviews and develop talent through coaching and growth opportunities
