Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for our electronics manufacturing division in Frederick, MD. This role oversees inventory, purchasing, and cross-site receiving, ensuring on-time production and efficient materials flow.

You will lead a team, optimize supplier relations, and drive continuous improvement in inventory turns and cost. A strong background in contract manufacturing and hands-on Excel/Access proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of directly related experience in contract manufacturing industry.
• Supervisory experience and strong people management skills.
• Significant experience with inventory control, logistics, MRP, supply chains, contract negotiations, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Buyers, Engineering Production Services, Quoting Specialist and Proposal Administrator.
• Develop team goals and metrics and track progress with emphasis on professional development.
• Maintain inventory levels to ensure on-time production while minimizing on-hand inventory.
• Continually drive for increased inventory turns.
• Explore new suppliers and processes to improve quality, price, continuity and delivery.
• Provide management with data/metrics to drive continuous improvement and decision making.
• Interface with Program Managers on planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments.
