Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners seeks a Supply Chain Manager for an electronics manufacturing client in Maryland. Responsible for inventory control, purchasing procedures, and supervising receiving across multiple sites.

You will lead Buyers and related staff, drive inventory turns, and negotiate with suppliers while ensuring data-driven decisions through accurate metrics and forecasting. Strong Excel/Access skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of directly related experience in contract manufacturing industry.
• Must have prior supervisory experience & strong people management skills.
• Must have significant experience with inventory control, logistics, materials requirement planning, supply chains, contract negotiations, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach team comprising Buyers, Engineering Production Services, Quoting Specialist and Proposal Administrator.
• Track progress with goals/metrics and emphasize professional development.
• Maintain inventory levels to ensure on-time production while minimizing on-hand stock.
• Drive for increased inventory turns.
• Explore new suppliers and processes to optimize quality, price, continuity and delivery.
• Provide management with data/metrics to drive decisions and improvements.
• Stay current on industry trends and inform team of changes.
• Manage supplier relationships and lead negotiations with metrics.
• Modify shipping, receiving and inventory processes to reduce waste and increase throughput.
• Interface with Program Managers on planning and forecasting to meet shipments.
• Ensure adherence to standard practices in materials and department functions.
