Job summary

Electronics Manufacturer in Frederick, MD seeks a Supply Chain Manager to oversee inventory and purchasing across multiple sites, ensuring on-time production and optimal stock levels.

The role leads a team of buyers and logistics staff, negotiates with suppliers, tracks performance metrics and collaborates with program managers on forecasting to meet shipments. Strong Excel/Access skills and five years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of directly related experience in contract manufacturing industry.
• Must have prior supervisory experience and strong people management skills.
• Must have significant experience with inventory control, logistics, materials requirement planning, supply chains, contract negotiations, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and purchasing procedures across multiple sites.
• Supervise staff focused on purchasing, materials management and configuration management.
• Develop and track metrics to improve supply chain performance and decision making.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve favorable price, quality and delivery metrics.
• Interface with Program Managers on planning and forecasting to meet shipments.
• Ensure company procedures are followed in all materials and department functions.
