Dow Inc. seeks a State Government Affairs Director in Austin, TX. You will lead integrated state government affairs, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement to advance Dow’s objectives, protect the license to operate, and strengthen the company’s reputation as a partner in growth and sustainability.

You will translate complex policy issues into actionable strategies, influence senior leaders, and build alignment across internal and external audiences with broad accountability and autonomy.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience required.
• 10+ years in public policy or government advocacy.
• Legal work eligibility to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute state government affairs strategies aligning with Dow's priorities.
• Build relationships with governors, legislators, and economic development officials.
• Advise senior leaders on legislative, regulatory, and policy developments.
• Represent Dow before state legislatures and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate advocacy with sites, trade associations, NGOs, and consultants.
• Draft legislative amendments and regulatory comments during processes.
• Advance manufacturing competitiveness and energy policy through advocacy.
• Lead and coordinate cross-site advocacy efforts for unified policy priorities.
• Support political engagement activities and stakeholder programs.
• Provide executive briefs and high-level prep for leadership decisions.
