Job summary

Dow in Austin, TX is seeking a State Government Affairs Director to lead integrated state advocacy, policy engagement and stakeholder strategies that advance Dow's business objectives and protect its license to operate.

You will translate complex issues into actionable strategies, provide strategic counsel to senior leaders, influence diverse stakeholders, and coordinate advocacy across Dow manufacturing sites, trade associations and NGOs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience; US E5 or Canadian equivalent.
• At least 10 years in public policy or government advocacy.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute state government affairs strategies aligned with Dow's priorities.
• Build relationships with governors, legislators, and officials to advance Dow's interests.
• Advise business and site leaders on legislative, regulatory and political developments.
• Represent Dow before state legislatures, agencies, and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate advocacy across manufacturing sites, trade associations and NGOs.
• Shape policy priorities and stakeholder engagement strategies.
