AES is seeking a Lead Associate, Stakeholder Relations to drive AES’s national engagement strategy for energy campuses and landed projects. You will manage community diligence, assess sentiment, and shape plans across development, permitting, construction and operations to secure responsible outcomes.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams and External Affairs, engaging with communities, landowners, tribes, utilities and regulators while ensuring inclusive participation and adherence to policies.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in community engagement, advocacy, public relations, public affairs, environmental studies, communications, political science, local government or related field.
• 5+ years of stakeholder engagement experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct energy industry experience in development, permitting, construction or operation.
• Proven ability to lead advocacy and engagement with diverse communities and to manage regulatory considerations.

• Develop and implement AES national stakeholder engagement strategy for energy campuses and powered land.
• Conduct community diligence, assess sentiment and local land use to inform site decisions.
• Monitor policy developments and public sentiment; share lessons across teams.
• Lead cross‑functional engagement plans through development, permitting, construction and operations.
• Build relationships with officials, regulators, labor, utilities and communities; ensure inclusive participation.
