Job summary

AES Corporation seeks a Lead Associate, Stakeholder Relations to drive engagement for renewable energy campuses and powered land across markets. You will lead community and stakeholder outreach, assess risks, and coordinate with project teams to support development, permitting and construction.

You will collaborate with government relations, utilities and partners, ensuring inclusive participation and effective communication throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement, community or public affairs.
• Knowledge of government relations, permitting and land-use processes.
• Experience leading advocacy with diverse communities of all sizes.
• Familiarity with energy industry stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AES' national stakeholder engagement strategy for energy campuses and powered land.
• Conduct community diligence for projects, assessing sentiment and risks for site decisions.
• Monitor policy developments and public sentiment on renewable energy and large-load infrastructure.
• Create engagement plans and risk assessments for assigned projects, aligning with milestones.
• Coordinate with customers, development partners and utilities on engagement strategy and siting.
