Job summary

Columbus City Schools is seeking a Manager of Strategic Staffing to lead districtwide staffing processes, including transfers, placements, and certification-related activities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, education, or a related field.
• Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, school staffing, educator recruitment, personnel administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience using HRIS, applicant-tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Advise administrators and HR leadership on staffing provisions within collective-bargaining agreements, including seniority, certification, assignment, transfer, layoff, and recall requirements.
• Assist the Director of Strategic Staffing with administration of the annual certificated staffing cycle, including vacancy management, offers, placement, transfer, reassignment, excessing, layoff, recall, and onboarding coordination.
• Maintain accurate position-control and vacancy data; reconcile authorized positions, employee assignments, FTE allocations, funding sources, vacancies, leaves, and projected staffing needs.
