Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Sourcing Engineer to support North American compressor product sourcing. You will build strong supplier relationships and lead cost, quality, and delivery initiatives with engineering teams and suppliers.

The role emphasizes negotiating terms, leading RFQ/RFP processes, and driving continuous improvement across functional boundaries. Location-based site assignments and travel up to 10% are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience of progressively responsible job-related experience.
• 3+ years' experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
• 5+ years' experience well-developed negotiation skills and assessing vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations and supplier selection
• Continuously looks for new savings opportunities through analysis of data (spend, price variance, etc.) and review of materials in production areas.
• Leads RFP process with stakeholders.
• Works with suppliers and internal team members to qualify new parts.
• Negotiates key items with suppliers including pricing, payment terms, lead time, and inventory programs.
• Records and tracks information for timely and accurate measure of sourcing performance.
