Job summary

Ingersoll Rand seeks a proactive Sourcing Engineer to support North American compressor product sourcing. You will partner with engineering and supply-chain teams to secure cost, quality, and on-time delivery while managing supplier relationships and RFQ processes.

The role emphasizes data-driven savings opportunities, negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to align strategies across commodity teams and localization efforts. A bachelor's degree and 5+ years in sourcing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in sourcing.
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
• 5+ years' experience well-developed negotiation skills and assessing vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations and supplier selection
• Continuously looks for new savings opportunities through analysis of data (spend, purchase price variance, etc.) and hands on review of materials in the production areas.
• Leads Request for Proposal (RFP) process with all stakeholders.
• Works with suppliers and internal team members to qualify new parts.
• Negotiates key items with suppliers including pricing, payment terms, lead time, and inventory programs.
• Records and tracks information as required for timely and accurate measure of performance regarding sourcing activities and savings.
