Job summary

GBA is seeking a Site Development Group Leader in Austin, TX. You will lead the Site Development Group, align with senior leadership on vision, staffing, budgeting, and profitability, and drive growth across clients and markets. The role emphasizes leadership, strategy, and strong client relations.

You will mentor staff, influence promotions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, timely projects while maintaining excellence in client service and technical execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years in land development including project management, supervision, and client relationships.
• Strong business development experience to grow client base.
• Solid technical design and project management background; public works a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across levels.
• Proven ability to build internal partnerships across disciplines and teams.
• Business-minded with focus on profitability and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead vision, strategy, and growth for the Site Development Group in Austin/Round Rock.
• Staffing, budgeting, performance, and deliverables oversight.
• Monitor financial metrics and support profitability and growth.
• Guide technical and operational improvements with current trends.
• Develop and execute business development plans with key clients.
• Support proposals, scope development, and fee estimates.
• Negotiate contracts and manage risk and scope.
• Mentor, coach, and develop staff across levels.
• Promote collaboration across offices and market groups.
