Job summary

Thompson Safety is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the First Aid and Fire sales team, hiring and coaching Account Executives, Fire Sales Specialists, and Key Account Managers. You will directly sell to customers and prospects while guiding operations to grow new business and existing sales.

Responsibilities include strategic leadership, compliance with OSHA/ANSI, and building partnerships with industry groups. A strong track record in B2B facility services and sales management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in B2B Facility Services.
• 3+ years Outside Sales.
• 2+ years Sales Management.
• Strong marketing and sales strategy development.
• Experience in safety distribution industry preferred.
• Ability to set aggressive commitments to achieve objectives.
• Ability to lead staff to high performance.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance; able to pass drug/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Owns profit and loss accountability for the sales department.
• Recruit and hire Account Executives, Fire Sales Specialists and Key Account Managers.
• Train sales team on Thompson Safety process and safety product lines; ensure OSHA/ANSI compliance.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to the team.
• Develop opportunities with current customers and prospects through direct selling.
• Build partnerships to grow the business within the industry (NAFED, ASSP, NSC).
• Educate service department on leads and closing business.
• Collaborate with General Manager to align sales, operations, and culture.
• Ensure high engagement and performance of sales staff; perform other duties as assigned.
