Job summary

Motorola Solutions, via its Silvus Technologies unit, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You will work with Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate capabilities, align roadmaps, and support field tests and demonstrations across multi-domain environments.

Travel up to 50% is expected, with a 100% remote option depending on location. You will collaborate on RFI/RFP responses and continually align with strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor- or equivalent education in a related technical field or 5+ years in defense tech with a U.S. security mindset.
• Knowledge of SDRs, IP routing, and tactical comms is preferred.
• Clear communication and collaboration across teams are essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure systems, and execute field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark proposals and validate architectures.
• Support business development with technical input for RFI/RFPs.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs.
