Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking an Events Coordinator for our Colorado resort. You will chase profitable events and large group business, develop and schedule special events, and oversee guest event services.

The role requires flexible scheduling and strong collaboration with vendors, the Food & Beverage Manager, and hotel teams to maximize revenue and deliver high-quality events.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in organizing events (luncheons, weddings, etc.).
• Ability to respond after normal business hours.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Pursue and schedule profitable events and large group business for the resort.
• Respond to leads and inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Coordinate with vendors and on-site resources for event execution.
• Create and price event proposals to maximize revenue.
• Provide resort tours to prospective clients.
• Build long-term relationships with clients and third parties.
• Manage a digital calendar of all events and track sales activity.
• Prepare formal agreements and ensure policies are followed.
• Organize on-property meetings and events and assess performance for improvements.
• Stay aware of local market trends and activities.
