Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Montgomery, AL seeks a Regular Retail Banking Specialist to deliver industry-leading client service in person and by phone, while expanding client relationships and providing financial solutions through consultative conversations. You will be cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed, support branch sales targets, and refer complex needs to internal specialists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests and advanced sales functions.
• Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services.
• Supports team sales process by consulting with clients and referring complex needs to internal specialists.
• Participates in the Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Attends training classes and web-based learning to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Adheres to internal controls, procedures and risk management policies.
• Engages clients with courteous conversation while conducting transactions and helps navigate the branch.
