Job summary

Markel is seeking a dynamic Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team in Bedford, Texas. You will execute a full-life cycle recruitment strategy, attract top talent for State National, and use strategic sourcing to shape our hiring approach.

The role emphasizes high-impact partnering, candidate experience, and a distinctive talent advantage for stakeholders, with an annual pay range and incentives described in the posting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting, sourcing, or high-volume sales experience.
• Familiar with ATS; Workday preferred.
• Proficient with AI tools, Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter and social media.
• Excellent client service and candidate relationship management.
• Ability to handle confidential information and knowledge of laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment strategy for all non-exempt State National roles and build a strong talent pipeline.
• Full life-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers.
• Administer assessments to selected candidates.
• Provide updates to hiring teams and HRBP’s.
• Leverage EVP to attract diverse talent.
• Utilize Workday Recruiter, LinkedIn, job boards and referrals to pipeline talent.
• Represent State National at local career fairs and campuses.
