Job summary

Kinder’s in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a highly motivated Material Supply Planner, Raw Materials to join the team. Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will monitor co-manufacturers’ inventories and ensure timely delivery of raw materials to keep production on track.

The role requires strategic thinking, planning and supply chain management experience, with a hybrid work model (4 days in the office; Fridays flexible). Competitive compensation and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Material Supply Planning or related role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Strategic Sourcing Manager in stocking plans that enable co-manufacturers to meet production schedules.
• Manage raw material inbound schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supply chain strategies to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
• Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
• Support the production planning process by ensuring timely delivery of dependent materials.
• Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
• Collaborate with suppliers & Co-manufacturers to secure the best delivery schedule based on production timing.
• Identify and resolve supply chain issues in a timely manner to minimize disruptions.
• Monitor the integrity of BOM and manage inventory accuracy
• Create reports to analyze and update material positions & coverage
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required, avoiding disruption to production.
• Generate and communicate supplier material delivery schedules and forecasts to ensure they reflect requirements and meet demands.
• Develop and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time.
• Develop and implement processes and work with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support assessment and sourcing of suppliers in conjunction Sourcing Team.
• Participate in supplier/co-man meetings to ensure demand for materials is met.
• Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance and KPI’s
