Job summary

Kinder’s is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Finance - Logistics & 3PL in Walnut Creek, CA. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for outbound/inbound freight, warehousing, and related logistics costs, partnering with Logistics, Operations, and Accounting to drive cost visibility and strategic decisions.

The role requires 6+ years in finance with logistics/FP&A, strong Excel modeling, and executive-level communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive finance experience in logistics finance/supply chain/FP&A.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, working capital management.
• Experience analyzing transportation rates, fuel surcharges, accessorials, and 3PL contracts.
• Experience with freight audit and contract/ invoice compliance.
• Experience in CPG or distribution-intensive businesses preferred.
• Executive-level communication and translating data into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling; handling large shipment data.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual budget, rolling forecast, and long-range plan for outbound/inbound freight, warehousing, and logistics costs.
• Develop forecasts based on volume, mix, modes, lanes, and service requirements.
• Lead monthly/weekly performance reporting and explain results vs. budget/forecast.
• Establish logistics financial KPIs and dashboards; connect to gross margin and cash flow.
• Provide forward-looking insights on cost, service, capacity and risks/opportunities.
• Lead analysis for 3PL RFPs, contract changes, and service-model decisions.
• Evaluate distribution-center locations and inbound/outbound trade-offs.
• Create repeatable data sets, models and reporting processes; ensure accuracy and scalability.
• Coach analysts and build cross-functional partnerships; communicate with senior leaders.
