Job summary

The New York City Police Department seeks a Procurement Analyst within the Contract Administration Section to process requisitions, contracts, and related procurement documents. You will ensure accuracy of specifications, consult with staff on discrepancies, and participate in bid analysis and bidder investigations.

Qualifications include a college degree or equivalent experience; multiple pathways allow progression through assignment levels with demonstrated procurement expertise.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with PASSPort, FMS and Citywide Procurement systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Multiple pathways to qualify: degree portions or work experience as described in minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Review and process purchase requisitions and procurements.
• Check descriptions and specifications for accuracy and adequacy; consult with staff on discrepancies.
• Participate in bid tabulation and analysis, examine samples, and investigate bidders or contractors.
