Job summary

The New York City Police Department seeks a permanent Procurement Analyst in the Civil Service title to review requisitions, contracts, and bid processes. The role includes processing GSA and OGS intergovernmental procurements, and auditing bids while coordinating with agency staff for accuracy.

Eligibility requires a college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; residency within NYC is encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university, and 12 months of professional procurement experience.
  • A four-year high school diploma and two years of procurement/contract experience.
  • Education/experience combination as defined above.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process purchase requisitions and procurements.
  • Process contract documents, check descriptions and specifications for accuracy, consult with staff on discrepancies.
  • Participate in tabulation and analysis of bids and examine samples.
  • Conduct investigations of bidders and prospective contractors.
  • Process intergovernmental procurements (e.g., GSA and OGS).
