Job summary

The City of New York seeks a Procurement Analyst to review requisitions, procurements, and contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement rules. The role reports to the Assistant Deputy Agency Chief Contracting Officer of small purchasing.

Responsibilities include processing GSA/OGS intergovernmental procurements, bid analysis, and investigations of bidders, supporting city-wide contract needs across IT, construction, and services.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree or equivalent education/experience as specified.
• Experience in procurement of goods, services, or construction is preferred.
• Knowledge of contract negotiation/management and procurement rules is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and process purchase requisitions and procurements.
• Examine contract documents for accuracy and adequacy.
• Consult with agency staff on discrepancies and process intergovernmental procurements.
• Participate in bid tabulations, sample examinations, and supplier investigations.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Associate degree or 60 credits + 12 months procurement experience

High school diploma + 2 years procurement experience

Combination of education and experience (substitution rules)
