Job summary

City of Indianapolis is seeking a senior engineer to oversee planning and compliance for transport, environmental, and stormwater projects across Marion County. You will provide technical guidance on designs, interpretations, schedules, and CIP development.

The role requires a technical degree or substantial related experience, with strong oral and written communication and conflict-resolution skills. GIS experience is a plus, and the position involves fieldwork and office duties in varied

Qualifications

• Technical degree/certification or 10+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with GIS is preferred but not required.
• Solid knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies and specs for infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of planning & compliance management for local, federal, multi-modal transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.
• Provide technical assistance in design specs, plan interpretation, scheduling, and CIP planning.
• Support development of the Department's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
