Job summary

The City of Indianapolis is seeking a design management professional to oversee design activities for transportation, environmental, traffic and stormwater projects across Marion County.

You will coordinate schedules, budgets and contract requirements, ensure work is on time and within specs, and collaborate with city, state and FHWA guidelines. A technical degree or 5+ years of relevant experience is required; a Professional Engineer license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 5+ years of related experience.
• Professional Engineer license in Indiana preferred but not required.
• Strong oral and written communication; knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design management of local, federal, multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.
• Design specification and plan interpretation, scheduling, and planning related to infrastructure projects.
• Ensure that all design management activity is performed on schedule, within budgetary limits, and in accordance with current statutes, ordinances, specifications and contract requirements.
