Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation design, construction inspection, or project management.
• Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and City codes relating to transportation, traffic, storm/wastewater management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with contractors and city personnel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and scope public improvement projects with residents and officials during scoping.
• Investigate design solutions, estimate costs, and recommend alternatives.
• Inspect construction methods to ensure compliance with plans and specs for roadways, bridges, signals, and utilities.
• Consult progress, resolve problems, and ensure on-time completion.
• Oversee construction inspection activities for large, complex projects.
