Job summary

The City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works seeks a seasoned design management professional to oversee transportation, environmental, traffic, and stormwater projects across Marion County. You will exercise initiative, interpret complex designs, and coordinate across teams to meet schedules and budgets while adhering to statutes and contract terms.

The role requires a technical degree or five years of related experience, excellent communication skills, and a valid driver's license; a PE

Qualifications

Technical degree or certification or five plus years of related work experience.
Extensive knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies and specifications for City infrastructure.
Excellent oral and written skills with conflict resolution ability.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Design management of local, federal, multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.
Design specification, plan interpretation, scheduling and planning related to infrastructure projects.
Ensure design work is completed on schedule and within budget and contract requirements.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
