Job summary

The City of Indianapolis is seeking a Construction Services professional to assist the Administrator in overseeing critical operational functions for local transportation, environmental, traffic and stormwater projects in Marion County.

The role involves guiding Senior Project Managers and Project Managers on engineering activities, ensuring schedules and budgets are met, and adapting to evolving project needs.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies as they relate to construction of City infrastructure.
• Excellent oral and written skills; strong conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction program management of locally funded multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.
• Provide staff supervision and technical assistance in construction specification and plan interpretation, scheduling, planning, and materials.
• Ensure construction management activities are performed on schedule, within budget, and per contract requirements.
• This list may be expanded with additional duties as needed by management.
