Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Management & Commercial Lead (PMCL) in Sacramento, CA to drive best-in-class project delivery across the PM team. The role reports to the Senior PMCL and focuses on coaching, performance monitoring, and strengthening commercial and PM capabilities.

Responsibilities include coordinating with BC leadership, leading PIR reviews, and ensuring adherence to the PM Framework and risk management practices across the BU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or comparable technical, business, or professional degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities; ability to mentor PMs and staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and knowledge of contracts and commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Drive consistent project management practices across the PM cadre and ensure application of PM framework.
• Lead reviews and meetings to monitor budget, schedule, risk, and quality.
• Coach and train project managers and controls staff on key PM activities and tools (Oracle, IPS).
• Pursue billable work and manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk for projects.
