Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Management & Commercial Lead (PMCL) in California to drive consistent, best-in-class project delivery across the PM team. The role includes coaching, monitoring performance, and applying PM practices per the PM Framework.

Reporting to the Senior PMCL, this position emphasizes leadership, risk management, and commercial evaluation while guiding project managers and ensuring high standards across the business center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or comparable technical, business, or professional degree.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout.
• Knowledge of contracts and commercial agreements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Health and Safety: Support HSSE practices on projects.
• People Leadership: Assign projects to qualified project managers and oversee performance.
• Project Management and Execution: Serve as PIR and monitor project performance, budget, schedule, risk, and quality.
