Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Management & Commercial Lead (PMCL) to drive consistent, best-in-class project delivery by developing the PM community and implementing PM practices across the PM Team. The role provides coaching, monitors performance metrics, and advises Project Management Leads to ensure uniform delivery.

Reporting to the Senior PMCL, you will strengthen commercial and project management capabilities, lead PIR activities, review proposals, and guide risk management and execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or comparable technical/professional degree with relevant experience.
• Strong project management skills with ability to plan and execute projects from pursuit through closeout.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; effectively collaborate with internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of contracts and commercial agreements and financial methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Project Independent Reviewer (PIR) and oversee project controls.
• Lead efforts to implement standardized project management practices across PM cadre.
• Support pricing, proposals, and risk reviews to improve project performance and outcomes.
• Coach and develop project managers and controls staff, including process improvements.
