Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support our North Carolina teams. You will provide proactive project controls, coordination, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle, liaising with Project Managers, PFAs, and PFOs to ensure timely communication, issue resolution, and financial visibility.

You will assist with project setup, budget controls, forecasting, and closeout, including archiving documents and compiling lessons learned.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in project controls, project finance, or related fields.
• Knowledge of cost control, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience coordinating with PMs, finance, and operations teams.
• Ability to prepare clear performance summaries and variance explanations.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive project controls, coordination, and reporting support to Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as a liaison between PMs, PFAs, PFOs, and upper management to support timely communication and financial visibility.
• Coordinate project setup activities, including budget setup, cost coding, governance, and workflows.
• Support budget maintenance, forecast updates, and project performance reporting.
• Prepare budget status updates, variance explanations, and escalation items for leadership.
• Assist with accounts receivable processes and ensure compliance with invoicing requirements.
