Job summary

WSP in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to provide proactive project controls, coordination, and reporting support to Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.

You will serve as a liaison between Project Managers, Project Financial Analysts (PFA), Project Financial Operations (PFO), and leadership to ensure timely communication, issue resolution, financial visibility, and alignment on project priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project controls, project finance, or project management support.
• Strong experience coordinating with Project Managers, finance, and leadership.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to validate financial data and drive corrections.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project setup activities, including project structure, budget setup, cost coding, governance, and required workflows.
• Coordinate with PMs, PFA, and PFO to support timely communication, issue resolution, and financial visibility.
• Coordinate Oracle Horizon updates, budget validation, forecast updates, and data quality checks with PFA/PFO teams.
• Prepare budget status updates, variance explanations, forecast summaries, and escalation items for leadership.
• Maintain project documentation, records, and supporting materials related to budget, forecast, and change management.
• Support monthly project reviews with performance data, action tracking, and closeout documentation.
