Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support our North Carolina Earth & Environment teams. You will provide proactive project controls, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include liaising with PMs, PFA, and PFO teams, Oracle Horizon updates, and ensuring financial visibility and timely issue resolution. A strong eye for detail and collaborative problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in project controls, project finance, accounting, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, budget tracking, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting.
• Experience coordinating with Project Managers, finance, accounting, or project operations teams.
• Ability to prepare project performance summaries, variance explanations, budget updates, and escalation materials.
• High attention to detail with the ability to validate project financial data and follow through on corrections.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and client service.
• Adheres to company Code of Conduct and related policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive project controls, coordination, and reporting support to Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate project-related activities with PFA and PFO teams, including Oracle Horizon updates and forecast support.
• Prepare budget status updates, variance explanations, forecast summaries, and escalation items for leadership.
• Interface with the accounting team to ensure invoicing compliance and timely payment facilitation.
• Maintain project documentation and support monthly project reviews with performance data.
